Real shorty here.
Lily walked down from her dormitory at half past ten on Saturday, her nose was a bit red, her cheeks flushed and she looked as though she hadn’t slept at all the night before. She carried a box of tissues in one hand and a bag of peppermint lozenges in the other. The first thing that Sirius Black noticed however, was the over-sized sweatshirt that the redhead was wearing.
It was read and gold, a large lion on the front and the name ‘Gryffindor’ artfully spelled out across her chest. Sirius knew, that if she were to turn around, the number 7 and the name ‘Potter’ would be written across the back.
"I simply love what you’re wearing.” Sirius drawled, flashing her a bright grin.
Lily looked down at her ensemble and thought he was making fun of the fact that she had holes in her sweatpants and her socks didn’t match. “Fuck off, Black.” She hissed, her voice sounding as though it was coming from the far end of a tunnel, at least that’s what it sounded like to her. That’s what everything sounded like to her at the moment.
"If you’re going to wear my best mates clothes, then I get to-"
"If you’re going to mock my girlfriend while she’s ill," James interrupted, putting an arm around the back of the couch and moving his bag so Lily could sit next to him. "I’ll knock you out the window."
"Ill?" Sirius asked, looking a bit skeptical.
"Yeah." Lily said, snuffing her nose and then sneezing. "I thought you were making fun of my pants." She said, sticking a finger through a hole in her knee.
"Nah." Sirius said. "Just Prongs’ sweatshirt."
"It looks better on me." Lily said, though she couldn’t breath out of her nose and it sounded more like, ‘It lookth be’er on be." She hunched over, bringing her knees up to her chest and tucked herself into James’ side.
"One hundred percent." Sirius said fondly. "You want me to go and get you something from the kitchens?"
"Some soup would be nice."
"You got it, Doe." Lily’s eyes snapped to him at the nickname.
"Doe?" She asked.
"I think it’s fitting." Sirius said with a shrug, turning towards the portrait hole, but not before catching the exasperated grin that spread across James’ face.

They say the war was terrible. That the rest of the world was destroyed. Our founders built the wall to keep us safe, and they divided us into five groups - factions - to keep the peace.
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
